02 — The colour scale

From a hairline to a horseshoe

Every pair of jeans and trousers, laid out by degree. Lighter cards curve less; the darker the card, the wider the arc.

03 — Arc + Line

A curved leg needs a straight partner. Each outfit is one arc, one fitted line and one small piece that shares the bracket seam.

04 — In motion

A barrel leg moves away from the body at the knee and comes back at the ankle. Standing still it is a shape; walking, it swings.

aWe lay the reference size flat and draw a straight line from the hip point to the outer corner of the hem.
bThe angle between that line and the outer seam as it leaves the hip is the arc. 0° is a straight leg; 34° is our widest barrel.
cEvery product page lists the knee and hem width too, so you can compare with a pair you already own.

A straight leg is a line. Ours start as a line and decide, at the knee, to become a bracket.
